Wondering if someone has encountered this before. At random times I'm getting a very loud static noise almost like it's trying to decode an encrypted stream or a data channel. This shows up on different channels on valid TG's so I can't just mute the TG. The logs don't appear to show anything out of the ordinary. Is there a config option I've missed to filter these? Anyone else run into this?

Here is the decode log.
Code:

how close was a cell phone ?
my uniden 396T and XT do that when too close to a cell phone, it does sound a little digital from here.
yearrs ago i had turned my squelch down to 0 on the T thinking it would pick up lower signals and it would do the random noise thing even when not near anything. (out in a yard)

The antennas all sit up in the attic and I get pretty terrible cell reception out here. I wouldn't think it's cellular but that's not a bad idea. The only thing close by is the air handler. Maybe that might be interfering?

I can try to add squelch to the config but I thought that was for conventional systems only.

edit: cell reception

and the worse call reception you have the higher the output on the phone.
if i recall there are 8 power levels on a cell phone.
i wound usually not blame the air handler, but now everything has a computer chip in it.
gotta go i think my toaster has a call for me.
