Trunk-Recorder - Upgrading RaspberryPi to V5.0

According to this:
GitHub - TrunkRecorder/trunk-recorder: Records calls from a Trunked Radio System (P25 & SmartNet)

Version 5.0 of Trunk-Recorder has been released.

Questions:

1. "trunk-recorder --version" doesn't work in Linux - what is the correct way to find the installed version, please?

2. Can the installed version e.g. V4.5 be upgraded to 5.0 or is a fresh install required?

Note: This is a non-docker install.

Fresh install should be completed when moving. Configs will work the same.

So, I just install over the top of what's there and it won't overwrite the config.json, tg, etc?

Or, do I start with a fresh RPi 64 micro-SD and do a fresh install - then copy over config.json, tg, etc?

Note: This one is a local-only install, plus rdio scanner, so it's pretty simple.

What I did is leave my existing folders alone. Stopped and disabled the v4 service. Installed fresh under a new v5 folder, then copied the configs over. Started a new v5 service
