i'm using a 996, and i was scanning for new id's in one piticular trunked co. system and storing them. Is there anyway to eliminate duplicating the same id's that are in some of my other systems that are not being scanned. By this i mean : i cannot scan all systems, it says they're over the limit..(too full i guess) and they are not large....even cleared the system and just sent one sysytem over using ARCPRO. But i got excited when it started picking up new id's and created a sub directory in my system i was scanning. But after scanning for 1 1/2 hours...it picked up all that it was gonna pickup in that time frame. But when i searched the new id's in my county, i saw that they were already in other system that i had not sent to the scanner. I was bummed. Only found one new one. AND, is there a way to search for just id identification without going to the county and scrolling through all the pages and looking for the id ? All info is appreciated. I beleive i may be doing something wrong in regards to to being over the limit. Because i sent two sysytems, Cabarrus co, nc ie: concord pd, and cabarrus sheriff, and it was over the limit with the two. Don't see how....this machine seems like it has ALOT of room.

P.s. This is what i wanted to search originally for the exception of: County serv talkgroups..is this just way too much ?

The scanner will only look in the currently selected system when screening for duplicates. Each system has a 256 Channel limit...any more than that and you'll get an error message.

You can tell the database here to sort by TGID number (click on "List All in One Table" above the channels).

So i could possibly scan multiple systems as long as the total is below 256 ? and by channel, you mean frequencies ? So i could have say 6 systems, 50 in each and i would be fine ? and how many primaries can be stored in each system ? i know....i can probably find that here in or in my manual...just thought since i was here..lol

The limit is 256 for each system, not for all system. Each system is independant of other systems in the scanner.

By channel, I mean stored Talk Group ID's (since your question was regarding trunked systems).
