I have a Uniden BCT15x. This past week I've been having trouble recieving trunked 800mHz. It had been working fine ever since purchasing it two a little over two months ago.

I'm trying to scan Talk Group IDs on the Vinita site. It picks up the control channel but there is never any transmissions heard. I hear transmissions using a feed provided here, so I know there are transmissions.

Is it stopping on any talk groups and no audio? If so you need to feed it's audio to a line input of a pc and install virtual audio cable and DSD+ it will decode the P25 to intelligible voice. It may also be ignoring the P25. Can someone help with this? All i have is unitrunker and 2 RTL dongles.

It doesn't stop on any talkgroups when scanning. If you lock it on a specific talkgroup it will show that it has the control channel, but there is never any tranmissions heard. It will pickup audio on the individual 800 channels and will pick up the control channel audio. It will also display, on the control frequency, non programmed TG IDs that are broadcasting. None of the talkgroups or agencies that I'm trying to scan are digital.

I wonder if it is set on P-25 digital decoding and nothing is coming thru analogue. Can you turn off the digital voice part?

I use Lower 851.0250 Upper 854.0000 step 25.0 offset 440 and Lower 854.0125 Upper 868.9875 step 25.0 offset 0 with no problems. I did use Lower 851.0000 Upper 858.0000 step 12.5 offset -560 and missed some of the transmissions.

This may be a dumb question -- but why is Vinita like this? Unlike any other site
(that I am aware of)

Thanks.

Would it be possible to use both or all three?

I use the Lower 851.0250 Upper 854.0000 step 25.0 offset 440 and Lower 854.0125 Upper 868.9875 step 25.0 offset 0 with no problems. I did use Lower 851.0000 Upper 858.0000 step 12.5 offset -560 and missed some of the transmissions, so I dropped the one with the -560 offset ( Tried both ways at the same time and missed some of the transmissions on the -560 offset ). That's what works for me. The Chelsea area uses both the Vinita and the Pryor towers.

If someone can send me a decode log of the Vinita site, I might be able to confirm the correct band plan.

I have had luck using your Uniden plans 5 & 6 for the Vinita site.

Update:

I have been using the following two Band Plans and have been able to receive transmissions on the Vinita site. The only issue that I'm experiencing now is some static and the transmissions briefly dropping off.

Lower - 851.0250
Upper - 854.0000
Offset - 440
Step - 25.0

Lower - 854.0125
Upper - 868.9875
Offset - 0
Step 25.0

Location and being analog we'll play apart in the quality of the transmission. The drop may be in the scan cycle between transmissions or the delay you may have set up. I been out of the hobby a few years and now I got back into it a couple years ago. A lot has changed and a lot to be learned.
