• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

I have a Unication G3 with the 450-512mhz UHF band.

Will it work with the West Virginia Statewide Interoperable Radio Network?

There are a handful of sites out of that band, but not the ones I want to monitor. I wasn't sure how this worked, so I wanted to ask the broader group. WV SIRN is linked below.

When you import the system into the C1 tab from Radio Reference you may not import SITES 1.31, 1.49 and 3.60, these are all out of band. If you do NOT un-select them before you import them then the system will not appear in tab E2 when you try to add the system from the Resource Manager, as mentioned in your original post on the same topic (something discouraged in the forums).

Unfortunately that also did not work. It's still not showing among the options to import.

This is above my head, but I know these are out of my unit's band split. Can someone explain? Mine is 450mhz to 520mhz

SIRN P25 Channel ID Table
CH ID Type Base (MHz) Spacing (KHz) Transmit Offset (MHz)
4 FDMA 450.00000 6.25 +5
5 FDMA 400.00000 6.25 +9
6 TDMA 450.00000 6.25 +5
7 TDMA 460.00000 6.25 +5

That is the table, not frequencies used, ignore that and see comment in your duplicate post (something discouraged in the forums)

Then the trunking table may be what the import manager in the PPS is looking at, and it won't work. Maybe someone from WV will have more information on it.

I use FSS when I travel out of my home area, and it works just fine with my G3 (which is an older, pre-DMR version). FSS works great for me. I use this freq range:
