Good luck with that, maybe someday it will happen, but I don't see enough people willing to pay the high cost it would take to convince a manufacturer to make it.
This scanner, or any other for that matter, can easily be placed in a case like the ICOM M94D for a nominal extra cost. The ICOM M94D battery charges, FULLY, in the cradle, and gives 10 hours (easy) of scanning. You can bring it fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, whatever, throw on rocks, drop it in water, it still works.
Yes, after making the appropriate adjustments of charging parameters offered, I never bothered with that, I just got four rechargeable batteries and a wall charger for the batteries and always had four or eight charged batteries available.
After removing the protective rubber encasement the first day I had the radio and threw it in a drawer and never looked at it again, it was very easy to change out batteries so..
I have been unable to get a full charge by USB even after adjusting the charging parameters. And the charge drains quickly, like 4 hours.
Simple answer NO, because they are not recommended and subject to increased errors in the read process.
Simply put, C10 cards will not work with this SD card radio. This is becuase the minimum speed of a C10 card is above the maximum speed of the 10+ year old board in the radio. There is nothing inherently unstable or error prone in a C10 card.
Define "full charge"? The charging circuit is just a timed charger (1-98 hours I believe).
Batteries fully charged would be the definition of "full charge".
