If you live in the middle of all the towers for that trunked system, nope. If you live on the edge of the towers you can play with shorty antenna , unit direction ( handhelds) and attenuation to help.

In my experience, the Homepatrols are some of the absolute worst in handling simulcast.

I have several Whistler scanners and monitor simulcast systems and they do a decent job. Not 100 percent but darn good enough for the price. There's a lot of die hard Uniden fan boys here 🙄

Everyone will have different results with every type of scanner depending upon their location. That is the nature of simulcast distortion. Those who have no receive problems with simulcast sites are very lucky to be in a good location. At my residence, the only radios which will receive my local Baltimore County MD simulcast system are the Uniden SDS100 and SDS200 scanners and Unication G4/G5 pagers.
