How does this work? NZ Band Plan Software supported
But we still have plenty of transmissions eg Fire and Police on 75.xxx (linked to 485.xxx in some areas) Radio 88-108 MHz not supported by the Hardware?
54-78.xxx should be opened as well?

TXx Whistler Hardware support
25-54,
108-174,
216-512,
764-960 (minus cellular phone ranges)
1240-1300

Like Unidens it should have Open hardware support.

It's the hardware filters in TRX that are the limit. They use the 25-54MHz filter up to something like 75MHz, then it switches to the 108-174MHz filter between 75-88Mhz. The sensitivity are the worst the closer to 75Mhz you get. But as 88MHz are still 20MHz from the 108MHz edge it will still have just a 2-3km range between 80-88MHz.

I tried looking at the filters to see if they could be modified but if I remember correctly they were covered in epoxy. Whistler use too wide filters covering too much bandwidth as it is, that makes the receiver more vulnerable to interference and overload issues, so it would anyhow have made it even worse than it is in the VHF bands.

Feedback regarding the recent modification to flexstep is appreciated.

Flexstep are really useful now but there's one error in the Sweden bandplan. When using flexstep and step from 403.9875 and up it jumps to 404.00625 and the same in the other direction. It doesn't tune to 403.99375 and 404.0000 as those are between the range boundries.

The easiest solution are probably to expand the 400.0000-403.9750 range to 400.0000-404.0000 and keep the 404.00625-424.99375 as it is.

I can see the same thing happen at other range boundries. Between 137.0000-143.975 and 144.0000-145.9875 where it cannot tune to 143.9875 when using flexstep.

Probably all ranges upper frequency should be increased with half of it's step size to make flexstep work properly. But without flexstep enabled it should still tune from 143.975 and up to 144.000 and not 143.9875 and the same when tuning in the other direction.
I don't know if that is possible to do without introducing other anamolies.

In the software tab "Conventional frequencies" in the field "Mode" for air band frequencies can not be selected and put "AM" modulation, only available "Auto". Why?

The latest update has not been placed on the whistlergroup.com server yet due to the holiday. When it becomes available you go to the downloads page then select your model then look for the file containing the model name followed by "Install" such as TRX-1eInstall

For now, the latest file is available THRU the EZ scan pc application as stated above.
Go to Updates > Check for PC Application Update

New updates are available for the TRX-1E and TRX-2E
These updates include minor alterations to the existing 5 countries as well as the addition of 8 new countries

United Kingdom
Ireland
France
South Africa
Australia
New Zealand
The Netherlands
Sweden
Poland
Czech Republic
Belgium
Germany
India

Anyone with the TRX-1E or TRX-2E EZ Scan is encouraged to Archive their configuration, update the PC Application, then update their scanner FW to 7.2 thru the Update function within the TRX-1E and TRX-2E EZ Scan PC application.

New to the TRX-1E and TRX-2E version of EZ Scan is access to RadioReference database for the selected country(ies) with a premium subscription to RadioReference.

If you travel often between these countries, using V-Scanner folders you can set-up each Folder for a different country when programming then select from your list of V-Scanner folders for the country you are in.

Thank you to all that provided input for many of these new bandplans.
We hope to add more countries in the future.
Is there a FW update for TRX-1 / 2 for SCANDINAVIA or NORWAY?

Currently we do not have a bandplan for Scandinavia and Norway.
Is this something you could assist us to create for a future update?

Pease explain (provide more detail) your inquiry regarding MUTE in the scanner control so I may better understand your issue.
This will allow me to better assist.
