Thanks a lot, trying to work out how to configure for virtual cable...
That's always the fun part, in my limited dealings with Windows in a VM and DSD-FME, I've found just using the volume mixer by right clicking on the sound icon in the bottom right tray, and telling DSD-FME to listen to the VBCable to be good enough, you may also need to restart DSD-FME after making the switch for it to take effect.

Hmm it's already set up with sdr sharp and console etc for vb cable as the input. What should it show ? Atm it just says Audio Out Device: /dev/dsp

That's fine, Cygwin handles that and makes it work in Windows, you should open your Volume Mixer and set it similar to this. You may need to close and restart DSD-FME after setting it up. If you are using a version of Windows that's not 10 or 11, I honestly have no idea how to route the audio.

Hmm I had something once but not again since. I am trying to decode dstar from a bluedv hotspot with bluedv for windows. SDRangel decodes voice ok but sounds fairly robot like

I'm not really an expert on repeaters and stuff like that, but how close is the hotspot from the sdr setup? Is it possible that the hotspot is overloading the front end up the rtl dongle or whatever device you have on the sdr# side?

The sdr dongle doesn't have any antenna connected and the output from the hotspot is 10mw so don't thin that's the problem and as I say sdrangel decodes fine

Not quite sure then, if you say SDRAngel does an okay job with decoding it (if memory serves it has a plugin for DSDcc) then the issue may be with the way SDR# is configured VFO wise, or with the VBCables. Is there any other audio being dumped through the VBCables or just the output of SDR# going into DSD-FME (or any other decoder like dsdplus). I actually thought dsdplus 1.101 decoded d-star, so if it can't do it, then maybe its a configuration issue. All I know is that I can play back d-star wav files and dsd-fme decodes them with pretty coherent voice. I also seem to recall the demo version of VBCable having that obnoxious voice play ever 30 seconds after an hour or something to get you to buy the full version.

What I am saying is the reason why Fast Lane wasn't decoding the D-Star is probably the same reason, it would probably work now that the VFO in SDR# isn't muted.
Not sure about DSDPlus v1.101 but with DSDPlus Fastlane you can use Fmp24 in place of Sdr# and virtual cables.

Likewise with DSD-FME, you can use it to interface to the RTL dongle directly (only RTL, no airspy or other support yet) by using the following or similar command in your bat file, just judging based on the screenshot provided.

dsd.exe -i rtl -o /dev/dsp -c 434.3M -P 2 -D 1 -G 26 -Y 12 -Z

Information on switches regarding RTL input
Code:
-i rtl to use rtl_fm (default is -i /dev/dsp for OSS input audio)

-o /dev/dsp to set output to OSS audio (is default anyways)

-c Set frequency

-P set PPM error

-D set device index number

-G set device gain (0-49) (default = 0 Auto Gain)

-L set rtl squelch to 25

-U set UDP port for rtl_fm remote control

-Y 12 set rtl VFO bandwidth in kHz, (default = 48)(6, 8, 12, 16, 24, 48)
