TX 8360 only partially programs

Trying to program a TK 8360 with KPG 135 and found a strange glitch

Everything works fine EXCEPT I can't get the right-side up/down buttons to behave

No matter how many times I try to push it in it just won't take. Channels, zones, and other front keyboard functions go fine, it's just the right side up/down. which I prefer to use for channel changes.

I'm always willing to consider operator error as a source of issues, but I'm running 7 or 8 TK 7360s and 8360s and this is the only petulant child that I can't make behave.

Gotta start with the basic troubleshooting questions here:

Have you programmed those keys for that function?

Did they work before you changed the programming?

If you put the original file back in, do they start working again?

I had a bunch of those some years ago in which those buttons stopped working (hardware issue).

It's a new-to-me radio so I don't know if they worked before and don't have the original file as it has been over-written

i programmed those keys the same as other 7360 & 8360 radios I'm running

Try to program volume up/down to the right buttons, and channel up/down to the left buttons and see if the left buttons work for ch up/down and the volume up/down does not then you will need a new keypad most likely P/N is K29-9479-01 (Key top).

Always read the radio and save the file before doing anything. It gives you a fall back.

But nothing you can do about that now.

If you have it programmed like the others, then there's likely a fault with it. But the troubleshooting steps above are a good thing to try.
