ubc 220xlt missing gaps

hi all, i am a complete newbie at radio scanning, i,ve got a quick question regarding the above model the ubc 220xlt which is there are gaps within its scanning range is there away i can reinstate them and also is there away to get the cb frequencys on it. sorry if these sound daft questions but like i say i am new to this and look forward to learning more as time goes by. many thanks in advance. jon :?:

As far as CB goes, NO because the lower freq. limit is 66 mHz. That scanner was not designed to capture any signals below 66 , so you can't liberate something that doesn't exist in that radio.

An old trick to expand freq. range is to add 21.7 mHz and get an
image freq. , but you will most likely see it displayed as an error

There may be some deals out there on used scanners that have CB as
a pre-set search range. Something you may want to consider.

UBC would mean that this scanner was made Europe. Their CB freq's are differant than what is used in the US. Try a bc72xlt.
