oh and the hard part tell me why you like it... whats it have is it deaf like my pro-95 or is it sensitive like my FT-60? I need to find a newer scanner and I just have no clue how they are now ... I would like to go to radio shack or uniden and take them all home for a few days but that cant happen! thanks in advance

It's been said that the radio shack 2052 (built by uniden) is very good at the 225-400 band.

Both the PRO97 and 2055 have gotten high marks for milair coverage - however, it should be noted that both are analog trunktrackers - If your area uses digital trunking these won't work out too well.

I wish I had a good handheld right now, with the Andrews show going on - anyway, I use the BC895 (very good on the UHF milair band, but because it doesn't cover 137-144 mhz in AM mode...) and the PRO-2004 (covers both ranges well). Since I'm relegated to indoor antennas, I use an old Grove preamp to give the 2004 a quick shot in the front end.
