BCD436HP/BCD536HP: Unable to receive Hytera DMR Tier III Trunked System

Hey everyone, I'm aware there is or was a software bug for the 536HP regarding the scanning of Hytera DMR Tier III Trunked systems. I have the DMR upgrade, my scanner is the latest version (1.28.17, 6/12/2024) and I simply am unable to receive Trinity EMS in Torrington on the Homeland Defense Network system in CT. I am within range with full signal. When I append it to my favorites list with Sentinel (Master DB is up to date) as a MotoTRBO system, I receive absolutely nothing. I can hold on the system and observe full signal but get no audio. I tried programming the talkgroups as DMR OFT's, and I get some voice, but it's very spotty and most of the time captured as just silence on ProScan. It has also captured UID's when programmed as OFT. I have an open support ticket with Uniden for just about a week now, they have not responded to me yet which is fine, it's just a few days after the holiday. I'm wondering if anyone else has been able to fix this issue, because I bought the DMR key specifically to monitor this system and at this point, half a year later, it's gotten quite frustrating. I have read that the 996 and 325? both have received updates that have fixed the issue. My favorites list is attached.

I have one 800 mhz Hytera T3 system with LCN discovered ( i can track all the tg's), just a quick look depending on which tower you are listening to I dont see LCN order , is that an issue that those have not been discovered ?, you have not mentioned that you have those in order , maybe they are not discovered as of yet , have you tried ANALYZE- LCN Finder ?
I see that they are there those if correct are required the other thing is they may have changed

The LCN's are listed in the RRDB and are programmed/imported in

Might not be correct. Run the LCN finder, read the scanner into Sentinel to see/compare results with the RRDB.

It's OK to guess on missing LCNs or if a pattern seems to be emerging. You won't break anything, it (still) won't work if wrong.

@BC_Scan , @Hit_Factor thank you both, I'll run the LCN finder and if the results are different from RRDB I'll submit it to the DB, I'm also only attempting to listen to the Torrington site. Thank you both and I'll report back as soon as I can!

if it were me and there is a 2nd site withing scanner earshot I would be listening for that as well
3 fx only on your site not much , system owner may stack that tg you want onto another tower and your out of ear shot only listening to one site if possible look for other control channel your scanner will hear, might have to push the antenna up !

@BC_Scan @Hit_Factor even after running the LCN finder, (it found 1/3, and the LCN was different from the RRDB) and inputting the correct LCN for the correct frequency, it did not make a difference. I'm only in range of one site/tower unfortunately. I only ever seem to get captures on the 461.8125 control channel frequency

The Hytera DMR fix in the Uniden 325P2 & the 996P2 have not yet been pushed to any of the remaining Uniden DMR capable scanners. That would be the 436/536 and the SDS100/200.
The 325/996P2 firmware was completed the last week of October 2024 and none of the others has seen updates since late spring of 24'.

now you are onto something , if all three are entered correctly it can take + -24 hrs more dependant on traffic on the other two channels , i suspect you are in fringe if you can only get one tower. I would keep at it as it is the key to your success regardless of any updates (also weak signal doesnt help) thats why I suggested /asked about antenna , what is it and how high is it (please dont say its supplied whip ) you might as well be using nothing then

@cg Ahhhh okay, I figured the others also received the update too. Well, hopefully the fix will be out soon! Definitely looking forward to it!!!
@BC_Scan I'm only a couple miles away from the tower so range isn't an issue, I have the Diamond RH789, and it's sitting next to me here on my desk, but yeah the issue is unfortunately a software bug and hopefully the fix will be out soon :) Thank you guys!!!

And those of us with these scanners are still waiting.....
