I am having problems programing my 796D scanner for trunking and scanning the Motorola Type IIi Hybrid system.

Could some one offer to help?

I too need help in programing digital and mot. II trunked systems. I am new to scanning and only have the pro 97 and 2055. Yes I did buy the arc250 pro and still cant figure it out.

Your scanner is not Uniden and stop Hi JACKING a thread.

I just bought the 796d and need help. I was saying I also had the 97 and 2055 if anyone needed help with those!

Programming the BC796D For Trunking)

1. Press Menu

2. Press 2 twice

3. Select Bank

4. Press E

5. Press 1

6. Select On

7. Press E

8. Select System Type (Type2/P25 800

9. Press E

10. Press 2

11. Select Channel Number

12. Press E twice

13. Enter Frequency

14. Press E twice

15. Use VFO knob or wheel to move to next channel

16. Repeat steps 12-15 (When finished, Press Scan)

This cheat sheet for the 785 will work for programming the 796.

Tassie, you will need to start at the top then move to the second part for programming the freqs then the third part for ID's.

wildbillx, you can skip the first part. However, ARC is the programming method of choice.
