There is far and away better software than that Black Bag junk (I did an early version review of both versions for the 245 and 895). Scan Control works just fine, and has a bonus - there's a copy/paste utility for getting data from the RRDB. That's something most all of the other software doesn't have.

Keep in mind that this scanner won't do digital, and won't be able to be rebanded via a firmware upgrade. It doesn't have alpha tags either, but SC will allow you to show them under virtual control. It's a very basic but still solid scanner.
