I am trying to figure out how to boost my reception on my Uniden BC355N Scanner. Where I live in Bell county Kentucky, I can pick up Leslie county sheriff, clay county sheriff, Bell county EMS, and rarely clay county EMS. Also, I can pick up Bell county sheriff, very badly. I am wanting to know how I can improve my reception on Bell county sheriff?

In general, increasing the height of your antenna will increase overall range. However, if the signal is already line-of-sight to the antenna, then you might do better with an antenna that is directional and aimed at the desired signal source or one that is specifically tuned to the band the desired signal source operates on.
