Hi there

This is my first post on the forum so hope that I am in the right place.
I am trying to use a Uniden BCD325P2 with DSD Fastlane with USB cable. It used to work for local P25 decoding (Control Channel only) but now unable to get a signal.
I am not sure if an upgrade to Win10 has caused this issue.

Would someone please confirm that this should work and ideally share the correct settings in DSD Fastlane for this setup?

Thanks for any help.

Cheers
Mark

Mark, if you have neither upgraded DSD+ configuration or changed the hardware since it last worked, then I'd suggest focus on the Windows driver for your USB connection to the 325 as first port of call. Can you check it is connecting ok, say using Uniden's Sentinel software?

The correct settings would be the ones that worked in the past. What settings did you use before?

How are you connecting the scanner to DSD+ with a USB cord? I don't believe that will work. If the scanner had a discriminator tap that you're feeding into DSD+, then that would work. But for USB, I think you need a dongle.

I believe you are incorrect. (not a 325 owner but...) The documentation alludes to a 'serial mode' being available at the USB level that allows for various abilities via 3rd party software, such as 'audio streaming, raw data output..'

Perhaps a 325p2 owner can chime in here and verify. Pretty sure @doctordialtone has one, you busy?

Yes, the manual says,

The serial mode may be used for audio streaming, raw data output, and serial control modes in future software from 3rd party developers.

but I've never tried it. I just use the earphone jack.

Is that raw data output like a discriminator tap?
No.

Discriminator taps pipe audio out that is not filtered for human hearing. This was used mostly for analog trunking decoding.

Raw data is just what it sounds like, raw (digital) data.
