BCD436HP/BCD536HP: Uniden BCD436HP TGID programming issue

I have a uniden BCD436HP, and using the zip services does not pull up the frequencies needed, so naturally I decided to program them myself. I made a new favorites list, and entered a conventional frequency, and it worked fine. I then tried to enter a P25 single frequency, and when I tried to scan just that frequency, I get "scan mode nothing to scan" same thing when I do a P25 trunked. I enter the DEC, just like I did the conventional frequency, and it does not enter properly. I simply can not get any P25 channels to enter when programming manually. Please help.

Welcome to the RR forums. Are you using Uniden Sentinel to program or are you programming by hand? Regarding the P25 one frequency trunk system; if you've created the system by hand then you'll need to either program in a talkgroup (you claim you did?) or turn on ID Search (MENU > Manage Favorites > select Favorite > Review/Edit System > Select system > Edit Sys Option > ID Search > On) or as you found you'll get the "Nothing to scan" screen. If that fails to resolve the issue, refer to wiki below for additional measures to take

I am programming by hand. I did not create a talk group, just a favorites list where I entered my desired frequencies. I will check to make sure the ID search is on. Thanks for the insight

Are you sure that what you want to listen to is not in the database?
It is always much better to let Sentinel create a favorite.
Let us know what you are trying to listen to.

When manually entering something, you need to program ALL of it's info - not just a frequency.

For example, if you didn't program location information (lat/long/range), the radio thinks what you want to listen to is in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean somewhere (0 lat / 0 long) and will totally ignore it.
