This will all work out I am sure, I get a little snappy when little things get in the way.
This scanner gets more things that I ever heard on my old trunking scanner, it was analog and I don't remember that model, it was a Uniden also. It met it's demise through divorce about20 some years ago. I'll thank her now for the fun I am having with this unit. I enjoy the challenge, I guess the thing that kind of got to me is that when I called tech support the guy put me off by not being forthcoming with the fact that I could use a normal USB cable and not informing me that the front USB port was what I needed. It's past now and I am moving forward well with all the help I am getting here.

Very quick and simple fix...

In Windows go to…..

Control Panel --> Programs and features --> Turn Windows features on or off (in the upper left corner)

Once that window populates, click in the box that says ".NET Framework 3.5 (Includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0)”, and .NET 4.8.....

Click OK, and they will be installed. Then Sentinel will install on that computer.

All went perfect, Sentinel wanted and update, did that. After that did the update for the scanner. Bingo! Up and running with the most currant everything.
