Hi. I just got a new bct15x scanner and got it programed with ems/fire and police in the burnet county TX. I can hear everything very clear and good all except when any of the channels are on and there talking every 5 to 6 seconds it goes quite for about 4 seconds then its back on talking then off then on.. when it goes quite everything is still on on the scanner expect the signal bars that goes out. I have used several antennas and they all do the same. can anyone help me on this because it's very frustrating and can't hear everything there saying with it going silent ever 5 to 6 seconds for about 4 seconds.... thank you

Try offing pri. channels and data block.

If you have certain features on priority (such as Beartracker or weather alert monitoring), the scanner will switch over to those frequencies and quickly scan them leaving you with a second of two of silence (unless it detects something). Try turning off all priority settings/channels.

Make sure "Close Call" is not enabled as well.
