Hello all,

Can anyone help me through the programing process, I can't seem to understand how to do it from the book. I am working a lot in the DC are and would love to have my unit programmed for it. It is programmed now for Baltimore, I'd love to have both. Any help would be great thanks

I am headed down to DC on Friday for the last few days of Nat'l Police Week.

I own a Uniden BCT-15 TrunkTracker scanner and cannot seem to get the system for DC programmed. None of the above tutorials seemed to be accurate for me. (I also have the Butel software for my scanner)

Is my equipment not up to par with the system? Any help is appreciated.

Nope - you need a digital trunktracker to hear DC's police systems. However, there is still plenty of other analog stuff that is a possibility. Take a look at our database for more.

I have a BC396 and use Butel to program it. Is there a file listed somewhere which is complete and only needs to be pasted with the rest of the Butel profiles I have compiled? For example I have a profile for Oceana NAS which I use for their air show each year. I merely load the radio using that profile. It is available to anyone who would like to use it. I also have compiled one for Connecticut which is where I live, also available to anyone.

I upgraded to premium subscriber for RR to make the connection between RR's database and my Butel software easier. It definately is beneficial with sending the huge trunked profiles to the scanner. It worked for DC so i'll see what happens when I go down tomorrow and i'll update here after.

Hopefully you didn't load up the DC 400/800 Mhz system, since the BCT15 can't handle digital. In any case, safe journey 73 Mike

Just reading this message today. If you get this before you come down, PM me with a way to conact you. I am assigned to HQ (center of the festivities), and can try to hook up. I work until 1700.

Anyone get DC MPD trunked correctly?

Hi everybody,

Been lurking for years and finally reg'd.

Older BC250D user here, and recently moved into the District and have been struggling to get my scanner reprogrammed.

Seen various things on various forums, and am not sure I follow, I have Police and Fire set into separate trunk banks. Fire comes in crystal clear, but Police seems like it is receiving, but is garbled and clipped.

Does anyone want to trade emails and share experiences or settings to get this puppy tuning?

I have all my files in a .mem as well as an excell file (excel makes it a breeze to do batch edits and sorts)

Thanks!

Mike.
