Hello all,

just curious if anyone has ever experienced this issue. When I edit a favorites list and open a location that has frequencies and attempt to add more frequencies manually when I get to around line or frequency 23-25 and hit save the software throws an error and crashes. Just curious if there is a limit to the amount of lines that can be added to a container or whatever you want to call it. I’m running a preview build of windows 11 and I had a friend try it from his official windows 11 release and it was doing the same to him.

secondly can you import a list of frequencies somehow. I have a list of about 185 frequencies that I need to enter into my BCD436HP? Right now the only option I see is at the top hitting the green PLUS button and manually typing the frequency.

thanks in advance guys and girls!

What could you possibly be entering that has 23+ frequencies assigned?
My advice to you is to learn how to copy systems from the full database before you try getting creative on your own. I have a hard time accepting that you have discovered something not in db, unless you aren’t in the US.

If you can get them into Excel, you can copy them all from 1 column then go hit the plus, then right click that new box for the freq, and select past. I do it all the time between Excel and Sentinel. Think you need 5 places after the decimal. If you have @ProScan it has a feature for copying bulk items.

Most likely its not liking the format being entered. I cant remember if its 4,5 or 6 places to the right of the decimal. Lately I have been all @ProScan .

Never said it wasn’t in the database im just trying to consolidate some sites and have like 5 frequency list instead of 100 with just 4-5 frequencies per site. It’s just something I’m trying so calm down and maintain 😂😂 just joking

I’m verifying now but it is possible I have discovered something not in the database. I made contact with the guy who programmed radios for the city police departMent and he printed me a list of frequencies that are programmed into the police department radios. It’s like 200 frequencies. I’m new to all this and trying to figure it out

what’s odd is it will accept the frequencies when I hit save after typing but when I get to around line 25 or 26 or 27 and hit save it throws the error and the software closes by crashing

Windows 11 beta insider preview build. I don’t think that’s the issue cause I had a friend try on his PC and it did the same thing. Although it could be the amount of numbers being entered as the frequency like someone said. I’ve been entering for example 769.125750 wonder if I drop off the “0”

You are trying to consolidate trunked radio system sites? Multiple into one? I don't believe this will give you desirable results, but YMMV.

Wanted to let you know there is a system not in the database yet. The company I work for just implemented a LMR project that covers the west half of the state of MS from the coast to tunica county. I can tell you this firsthand because I work for said company. It's a PowerTrunk TETRA system somewhere around the 463MHZ Frequency range......

Tetra … scanners can’t receive, no reason to be in db. I didn’t say the database was exhaustive, I just don’t think you have breadth of experience to jump in deep end of the pool yet.

will scanners ever be able to pickup the TETRA systems you think? Just curious. When we met with the tetra guys from Spain they told up their market share in the US is growing. I’m just curious what makes this technology different? I don’t know much about it other than we have it and how to operate my handheld and truck radio.

It comes up as a want every now and then, but the technology doesn’t seem to be common enough in the US to pursue and make a profit. Not sure if there are any hurdles that would make it more difficult to implement.
