Sentinel: Uniden Sentinel

I keep trying, rebooting, deleting and reloading Uniden Sentinel and can't update the database or the firmware and get the message "The remote server returned an error: 229 Extended Passive Mode Entered" I have no idea what this message means but it occurred on two different computers and means I cannot update....

I just switched away from Sparklight and worked way better (300mbs down/120up) than Sparklight but I guess I found a downside....

Can a VPN steer you around it?

I would not think so, but haven’t heard anyone say. I think port 21 is blocked, and I don’t think a vpn will change this.

I turned on my VPN and was able to download an update!
