What they are referring to is EMS Operations 2. I don't have the TG number in front of me. It is a ProVoice, encrypted talkgroup for secure communications by Union EMU (not FD Rescue). The encryption being why your scanner skipped right over it. This has nothing to do with the Union *County* P25 700MHz system. Union also AFAIK, will not be using the County P25 system beyond County Hotline.

Don't expect to hear anything out of the new 700MHz P25 system for a while. More delays for more reasons. There's a lot of hardware to buy, and a lot of perameters to meet.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (BlackBerry; U; BlackBerry 9930; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.11+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/7.1.0.580 Mobile Safari/534.11+)

Your 164 is analog-only. It won't be able to listen to the new county system at all (but it can be discriminator-tapped to decode the data on the control channel & decode the voice via DSD & DSD4Win).

I can tell if it's encrypted by the raw audio sound. If it has the same exact type of sound on your website page (W2SJW - Home ProVoice raw mode) then it's not encrypted. If it has the ProVoice type of sound that has an open squelch mixed with it, then it's encrypted.

With the link posted above, it should be: Harris PSPC | P7300

Thanks - stupid extra backslash got in there somehow!
