I have a wierd problem. I am using a PCR-1000 (decoding the CC) and a BC246T (to hear the audio). Everything appears to be working correctly... opening UniTrunker the BC246T goes into remote control mode. When a TGID that I set to listen mode becomes active the BC246T tunes the freq and stays on it once the transmission is over. UniTrunker then says no signal which I find strange considering the PCR-1000 is still parked on the control channel freq. I don't understand how UniTrunker tuning the BC246T would cause the signal to be lost in the program since that radio isn't even setup to decode the CC? Anyone else having a problem like this?

I can exit UniTrunker without any freezing but the problem reoccurs once the ID is active again. I ended up turning off the remote radio and listen option since I couldn't get it to work. Everything else is working great though.

Yes. And the computer I'm useing only has one com port. Was/am using Etrunk with the bc245xlt as voice scanner with no problems.
Run the "Tuner" program. Try out each of the four functions - tune to frequency, control (tune to frequency and mute), tune to memory channel, and scan. The communication between program and radio is logged to a file. Please post the file here (or send by email) along with a description of the radio's behavior (did it change channels, squawk, or whatever). I can pick through the log looking for errors.

Nope. Regardless of any settings (even if I make no changes at all), as soon as I hit SAVE in the Receivers menu, the program freezes. F5 has no more effect than Escape or any other key.
Dave - I'll have to follow up by email. I'll probably ask you to run the UniScope program and look for weirdness there.

For folks stuck with the "ERROR (use receiver menu to re-configure for recording)" problem - here's a work-around.

Go to the [R]eceivers panel. Set the Voice Radio to one of the listed radios - any radio but "none". ave you settings. Leave the voice radio selection in place - even if you don't have a voice radio present - when making receiver setting changes.

Thanks Matt. The log file came through. Those are patches. Unitrunker treats them like temporary talkgroups. Use the [V]iew -> [P]atches display see the patch list shrink and grow.

Hey Rick, another day of testing here. I have been sitting on the View Patch screen and have seen it remain rock steady with the same few patches all day, and strangely enough, when some patches are evident on the LCNs, they are not showing up in the patch screen. For example: patches 2029 and 2047 have been active almost all day, yet when patches 2045 and 2046 were active on the system (I could see them on the LCNs), they didn't show in the patch screen. Also, I have groups now such as:
12
17
22
57
64
73
78
90
101
108
249
250
276
289
292
293
295
311
326
894
971
985

That I know are not legitimate groups (and they all only have 1 hit each on them), and are not patches either. I still think there is something amiss on EDACS. I will send the logs along again.

A strange thing that I am noticing with EDACS is that when I hit the F5 (refresh) a number of my talkgroups are getting the LAST time updated to the current time. These talkgroups seem to be ones set up on patches.
