I just got a Nooelec v5 today, and got it all hooked up and running. I'm only using it for CC monitoring like I was with Pro96com, but now I can free up that scanner to do scan something else and not have to be used to be logging RIDs etc.
I got it perfect essentially. RN it's mid 40s to upper 30s RSSI, 100 green bar, a window of 2 down to 1 and up to 3 at points, got the warp working at 0.69, seems be a sweet spot for this setup.
Is the only way u can see RID aliases is when u monitor the VCs if they are talking? Because I haven't seen nothing but the RID numbers on the screen, no aliases. Just parked on the CC.
Is there like a manual pdf, showing everything for every button so I know what everything is and does?.. sorry if this has been asked 10000 times.
Im sure I'll think of more questions, if you guys have any tips or anything it wud appreciated since this is my first several hours playing with it. This is so fun I want to get a desktop or possibly a good laptop, whatever is cheaper so I can actually use it to decode, like get DSD+ and use that.
RN this laptop I ended up with is so cheap and junk about all it can do is what I do was use it for which is, pro96com, and downloading FW updates and changing stuff in my scanners. So now trying unitrunker is pretty cool and fun to experience and learn and makes me want to buy more dongles and get a new of to run them and the programs.
