I heard Monday night that Carver County is hoping to be encrypted by the middle of April. We'll see if it happens this time, maybe it will be delayed again.

If I were a betting man, I'm thinking 2828 is their ENC Law Main based on the traffic I've been seeing, but I am not close enough to watch their simulcast and am basing it on 2-001 and 4-040 traffic

I'd guess you are correct.

I haven't done any research or looked into it but I can confirm CCSO main 2700 and all the comm channels have got silent as of Tuesday morning.

Seems MPD just cutover.

End of an era. I remember my youth in the late 60s listening to MPD at all hours of the night. Still liked listening via Broadcastify Calls.

I wish they would have been a little more open and said "We don't want the bad guys to know what we are going to do to them."

That said, there is middle ground to be had. They could set up time delayed official feeds on their main dispatch channels. Still lets the public know what is affecting them, yet adds a delay to the criminal element.

Dashboards are good, but they don't tell when a bad situation is over and its okay to go back outside. I know if I see cops running thru my yard with guns drawn, I should stay inside. But I don't know when the coast is clear.

I agree.

My hope is that Carver County continues with how it is now. On the main "Norwood car for a property damage crash 212 and county 34", "Chanhassen car for a domestic W79th St.".

That is all you hear, no reason everyone couldn't be doing the same. Anything sensitive or even everything else, move it to an encrypted comm channel.

They seem to be going back and forth, which would align with their testing for the rest of the month.
My current theory is 3014 MPPD-1E, 2986 MPPD-2E, AND 2988 MPPD-3E, but I am not married to that theory.
Secure Comm1 and EComm1 seem to have their normal amount of traffic.

2922 MP-LG12 has also become strapped and seems to be a mix of traffic control and PD. not sure if any other LG users will use it...

That seems to match what I've noted. They seem to be switching back and forth for about 4 hours at a time. They are going from A (clear) bank to B (encrypted) bank, so my guess is they have a 1 to 1 channel mapping using the same numbers on their encrypted bank.

MPLS PD 1 (2954) -> MPLS PD 1E (3014)
MPLS PD 3 (2958) -> MPLS PD 3E (2988)

reviewing my DSD log files I came up with some patches on the new MPLS Encrypted Channels- the following groups all were in a mix of patches together:
2976, 2978, 2980, 2986, 2988, 2990, 2992, 3002, 3014, 3102
PD 1E 3014
PD 2E 2986
PD 3E 2988
PD 4E
PD 5E
PD 6E
PD 7E 3002
PD 8E
PD 9E
PD 10E
Traffic Control E 2922 - Not Sure if this will still be on PD 6E or if PD 6E will be a new channel separate from Traffic

Last night Fletcher said St. Paul P.D. is going encrypted this October.
Hopefully Ramsey Co. sheriff will stay in the clear for the time being.
A 15 or 30 minute delay would be better than nothing but, that is doubtful.
