I have tried for a week now and the update server is not responding. Sentinel says it has timed out and stops the FTP request. I have updated Sentinel to 2.03, I've tried shutting off my virus protection, an FTP request in the "run" command shows it connects to "ftp.homepatrol.com" but it still will not retrieve the latest database.

Any suggestions?

Is this the actual error message you're getting when you try to update?... "Updating HP failed. Operation is canceled. The operation has timed out".

If so, who are you using for your ISP? Have you changed your ISP recently?

Yes, that was the message. Using Spectrum northwest of Fort Worth.

Found my own answer.
Disconnected from Spectrum and used my cell as a hotspot.
Downloaded the latest database on the first attempt.

Thanks all!

Yes, Spectrum has been known to have that issue, glad you found the fix.
