I definitely have tried reducing the gain. Is there a way for me to "unmute" the control channel within DSD+ so I can temporarily hear it?
Something similar to how I can unmute the CC in Unitrunker just to confirm I can hear it.

If you are using a recent version of Fast Lane, the Input and Output menus have everything you need. And they are very self-explanatory. If you don't have DSDPlus Fast Lane, good luck living in the past by at least 5 years.

Under the INPUT menu, look at the Source Audio Monitoring options if you want to hear the control channel you are monitoring
Under the OUTPUT menu, select the appropriate output device

I've been able to confirm I can monitor the source audio (control channel) and its there just fine. I've reduced the gains as well and still I don't have any data flowing while I sit on this control channel. As mentioned before, when I sit on a different system control channel, it trunk tracks just fine. I'm at a loss why this particular P25 system won't work for me in DSD+ FL.
Are there any particular P25 systems that DSD+ FL won't decode?
My local system I'm having trouble with (just using this application) is labeled on Radio Reference as Motorola Type II SmartZone, Analog and APCO-25 Common Air Interface .

You can't monitor the control channel with DSDPlus because DSDPlus doesn't handle Motorola Type II control channels. You could monitor the voice channels though since they are P25 -- but not the control channel.

To be clear, Moto Type II is an analog control channel and the system has P25 voice.

Ahhh ok. That would make sense. I was starting to wonder if this system wasn't able to be handled with DSD+. That would explain why it does work though with Unitrunker and DSD public version.

Unitrunker V2 should work, as long as it realizes the hybrid nature of the thing and doesn't expect the voice channels to be analog. Even if it doesn't work directly, I think you can run the audio output from Unitrunker into VBCable into DSD* to decode the digital audio.

I think I may have missed running all of the files required (FMP24-VC as you mentioned). I do now see a link .

So I see there are 4 files required to run all of this - is there any way to start them all at the same time?
Happy I got this going now :)

I make a batch file called "start.bat":

Code:
@echo off
start fmp-cc.bat
start fmp-vc.bat
start cc.bat
start vc.bat
exit

In my fmp-cc.bat I'll have multiple command line entries for the different systems I may want to monitor. I just add "rem" in front of the ones I'm not listening to and remove the "rem" from the one I want. Such as:

Code:
rem original
rem FMP -i1 -o20001 -P0.0 -f935.0

rem Columbus City
rem FMP24 -i2 -o2 -P0 -b12.5 -f859.2125
FMP24 -i2 -o2 -P0 -b12.5 -f851.4125

rem Columbus MARCS
rem FMP24 -i2 -o2 -P0 -b12.5 -f774.28125

rem Franklin County
rem FMP24 -i2 -o2 -P0 -b12.5 -f857.6125

It would be much simpler to use the site loader file. And set the startup options to auto load the last-monitored system.

You know that's a great point. I don't get to play with DSD+ very often. There's probably a bunch of cool things it does that I miss. Just today I was looking for a way to load what I think is a NXDN site so it's scanned. There doesn't seem to be a control channel or if there is I'm missing it. The site's not in the RR DB and I am waiting on my scanner to arrive to scan it. Does a DSD+ for dummies type video exist?

That's the thing. It's a 7 or 8 channel system but I've not heard anything yet on any channel. Normally there's a burst of data 9n the trunked systems. They used to be DMR conventional but I was told they're now trunked.

It's AWS.
