Hello radio fans at my job we upgraded to I assume digital two way radios they are Motorola Xbr-6350 so my question is are they on the same frequencies as we always had? RR database or wiki search says as of May 5th 2012 we didn't apply for a new license with the fcc? The agency is Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission Newark,NJ 07105

That's an XPR-6350, and your employer's latest info for the FCC licenses shows emissions designators of 7K60FXE & 7K60FXD.

You're going full-time MotoTRBO.

The conversion of a system from analog to digital does not require new frequencies. I did check the FCC Database and it does not appear that they were issued any new frequencies. These are the two frequencies listed for them in the FCC Database:
461.9625
463.6875
There are also 3 frequencies licensed to the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commissioners:
453.5750
453.2625
453.3375

All I said was new frequencies aren't a requirement for conversion from analog to digital. I don't know exactly what was done with your system, however. It might be a good idea for you to do the mike keyup/scanner thing just to confirm the frequencies.

You won't be able to monitor any transmissions because scanners on the market today can't decode MotoTRBO digital.

Let us know what your radio does when you key it up. If it makes a little 'chirp', you're on digital (plus, it's pretty easy to tell the difference in the audio).

A bit far away from me to try DSD4Win on it. I wish there were TRBO users close to Somerset County so I can test my new setup...

Let us know if it makes the MotoTRBO sound, as posted on the W2SJW - Home website in the radio sounds - digital modes section of the site ... :)

Also remember with MotrTrbo repeated systems you get a two for one channel increase. A single channel in a MotoTrbo repeated system has two time slots. Meaning you can have two voice paths for a single frequency. You can also have multiple talk groups on each time slot but you still can only have two voice paths per frequency. Non-repeaters systems only have one time slot and only one voice path per frequency.

FWIW, the TRBO portables can do the triple beep in both digital and FM modes. Don't ax me why; it's just the way they are, or at least my 6500 is.

Oh ok you just solved a great many questions!! First off I sincerely apologize about your call sign or name! Secondly I was wondering why if you( well me actually) accidentally hit one of those function buttons why the radio triple beeps!! We figured we put it into scan mode so we toggle back!! They are fantastic radios crystal clear, powerful mics, but very sensitive...lol I think I impressed my coworkers with my 197 because they found themselves listening to all the calls coming in. Sadly we hear everybody but ourselves. Not really sure if I love signal stalker yet simply because the scanner seems to get stuck on frequencies that I guess have interference if that is the correct term?!
