Maybe I'm just not listening closely enough but 22512 seems to be "missing" today? Anyone else still hearing it? They were still there last night....

I think I heard a brief amount of conversation again in the past hour on 22512.... I was in the other room and didn't catch it...

Yup - they're back.

Got more and new activity yesterday... in addition to the 22512 (police/security), activity was noted on TG 2107 for a brief period and then also on TG 258 (encrypted comms).

Have you noted the voice channels? I believe 386.5875 may be one. I once received this as a control channel about a year ago but I didn't have the ability to decode the WACN at the time.

Yup - I think that is one of them... just got more encrypted comms on TG 2114

I've received TG 258 on the 002-0202 and 008-0101 sites. It has always been encrypted. On very rare occasions I've heard clear voice on TGs that are generally encrypted 100% of the time, namely radio checks on 135 and 150.

so these police guys on 22512 -- they seem to come and go... I listened all weekend and nothing -- but today, they're back...

Anyone been listening? Agree with what I'm seeing?

If so, any ideas why they seem to come and go like this?

So it appears that the reason the police TG was "coming and going" is possibly because the system is using one of several different control channel frequencies. Now that someone has posted them, the police are more regular.

In addition, today, I just heard USNA fire units doing radio checks on TG 22520. Perhaps the fire department is coming on line soon?

I submitted the newest control channel after finding it active last week when propagation was really good and I could hear many sites well east of me including the new Aberdeen system.
