I have an old parabolic dish antenna I built for the 2.5ghz range. I have a dumb question-would this work for either the 2m or 70cm bands? I'm looking to use this for stationary(this thing weighs 50lbs!) long range communications on up to 75 watts. The antenna would be on a remote controlled rotor about 20ft up on a hill. Would this work or should I just build antenna(s) for these band(s)? Thanks- I'm fairly new to this.

No it won't work on 2m or 70 cm. With a LOT of modification it could be made to work though. I seriously doubt if you would want to go to that trouble. What's the relationship between 2.5 Ghz and 144 Mhz? Multiply the size of that dish by that much to make it work. I think I'll pass.
