I've seen the posts regarding the usb ports on the 200 after a repair and since I've got a problem with my MICRO SD slot I started looking at the other USB ports to see if I could possibly use one of the other ports for data.

USB A will not read my data but here is the definition for each so I don't know why USB A will not work.....

Here is from the El Manual (the "Easier to Read".....the supplied Uniden manual does not specify other than the MICRO USB and Micro SD nothing about the USB A or the rear usb.....)
Micro USB Port - For audio streaming, raw data output, and serial control modes in future software from 3rd party developers.

USB Type-A Port (SDS200 only) - For audio streaming, raw data output, and serial control modes in future software from 3rd party developers.

It has no functionality - basically, this;

in future software from 3rd party developers.

never happened.

The creator of the SDS series had ideas in mind, but unfortunately passed away some time ago so, pretty much any concept of what they could've been used for or updates to implement it are out the window.

Since it is described as future with third party, Sentinel will not do anything thu it.

Rear usb port will work with band scope program someone on Facebook wrote.

Oh well I did figure out my micro sd problem. The reader is not loose I believe the spring is broken or disconnected because when you try to eject the sd card, it barley moves and I have to use the corner of a razor knife to slide out the sd card so I got this SD Card Extension Cable and it works great....and it ejects the sd card.

Well worth the $5 and I will get the 200 repaired one day.....

What a shame but it's still an awesome scanner!
