• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

Hi Guys,

I am starting over with my old G4 (G4B64BF-SXX....) and building a new PPS file with the 4.0 version. I was never good at the older versions and has been a couple of years when I touched those and frankly time has not been a friend with my brain. After a fair amount of different key word searching in RR I'm not coming up with answers related to this. I've found a couple of 4.0 version videos to watch that were pretty good on some topics as well as a couple of manuals that were decent on some things.

I have gotten the P25 State ISICS system loaded from RR (yep I'm a paid sub for years) into C>(C1) and actually tried to delete it as I didn't add the talkgroup list which I think was a mistake but not finding how to delete the system.

I tried loading the other P25 system that is a large regional system in Iowa called Sara. It's giving an error "not allow to configure duplicated combinations of RFSS "10" / Site Dec "10". Now obviously there is a language interpreter issue in the message but me being pretty dense is the biggest challenge. I know there are different System IDs in the SARA system which allows RFSS to be the same across those. I think that is what is what the trouble is but not sure how to deal with it.

Thanks in advance for any advice !

Thank you RaleighGuy. My Delete button is greyed out. When I click on the arrow on that line or click on the system alias name either one the button does not come on. When I right click on the arrow to the left it gives a menu of Delete, copy and paste (Copy) is the only one that is not greyed out in that menu as well.
