If you look at the picture I posted, 697-15 Portable was affiliating to Van Wert even though I know for a fact he was in Ottawa. Nice considering Findlay, Continenal, Lima and BGSU are all closer. I have been in Glandorf, 2 miles away and affiliated to BGSU, Continental, Lima, Paulding, Ada and Richwood on the same night within a mile radius. Not one site gave me more then a 60 on the RSSI outside!

Eh Nope, only have Wapak Tower and Lima Tower on ATT everything else isn't and I even have Boost set for Van Wert Still Notta.
Boost turns up the volume, it won't affect getting the CC.

Nope Global is Off ..And lima MOTORBOARDs THE LIVIN HECK..out of me not to mention its signal strength jumps all over the place!!

Turning the attenuator on helped with that? Normally that makes it worse when you live that far away from a site. You don't live close enough to it to cause it to desense.

Not to mention I have ATT off the Lima Tower Right now because I'm once again getting NO signal from it at all either. I get Wapak at 99% and Celina at 99% , Lima is lucky to ever get over 75% but when it gets that high I get Motor boarding big time.

I have my suspicions that its some kind of Issue with the Wapak Tower, because it Didn't do this when I first got my scanner before Auglaize Switched now I very Seldom get anything decent off Lima, I've moved all but a few tg off it, if I depended on it tonight My scanner would be dead!
I wouldn't consider you dumb because you didn't know that, you just aren't that familiar with the scanner. It's a learning process - we all go through it. So end the year on a happy note - and the next time you talk about reception issues, there's no need to worry about whether or not boost is on.

I just don't know how to thank you for pointing out my ignorance! I pointed out that I tried boost on the tower Just to see if it had any effect on the audio from the CC, in other words I was trying everything possible, Next time I'll know better than to mention that.

got new scanner for are cruser 3weeks ago and we have been hearing the post on pauldings marcs freq. also and i had put the van wert freq into it and i started hearing radio traffic today at 12:00am.really clear also

I'm Curious without Revealing your location Specifically are you by chance North and or West of the Van Wert Tower?

north of van wert in paulding.we dont have the marcs radios yet. they have are radios programmed for the old 155.550 and they now have a new ltr system.

Kinda Makes me think what Hoser said earlier that the Antennas are either set on the West Side of the Tower or set Directional to the West. Thanks and be careful out there!
