I've got several frequencies in use in Delaware County and some notes on ones already in the database.

481.4125 - Lansdowne Police (41 cars) Simplex - this frequency is actually used by two users in the boro. The 41 cars use it as a simplex (not sure how much usage) with a PL of 203.5. The William Penn School District also uses this frequency in simplex mode. They operate with a 413 DPL.

Not sure if someone submitted it to the database or Audio Dave found out on his own, but I've never heard the Lansdowne PD use the fire company's private repeater 464.9375/469.9375. I'm also not sure on the 115 DPL because I've heard (at least the fire company) use a 132 DPL on it. The fire company primarily uses this frequency for fire police and non emergancy communications. I'm also trying to confirm if the Yeadon PD (46 cars) use the fire company's repeater on 464.925/469.925 as their "switch up" frequency. Just heard something on this frequency with a 263 DPL but unable to confirm what it is. I'm also trying to figure out what Aldan PD (43 cars) mean when they tell each other to "switch up". It's not M4 I know that much.

While on the topic of Sector 4, there is a correction that needs to be made on the PL listed for Sector 4 Simplex Charlie channel (510.6125). The correct PL tone is 110.9. I have confirmed this on multiple occassions. The 192.8 is a mistake.

I have several frequencies used by school districts in the county as well. The William Penn School District has several simplex frequencies licensed to them under WPXV261 (I may have the X and V flipped). Since these are low power simplex frequencies, it is not easy to monitor them. I live close enough to the high school (my alma matta class of 2006) where I'm able to monitor radio activity there. They are licensed 151.4900, 160.2000, 462.2875, 469.0375, and 469.8875 (which has a 125 DPL). I also heard the high school using 481.4125 with a 413 DPL. I've only heard activity on 469.8875 and 481.4125. I will try to listen for activity on the other channels. I think I did catch something on 160.200 before with a 445 DPL for the high school. The William Penn school district buses use 160.125 with a 664 DPL for communication. This frequency is in the database. I should note that over the summer, First Student took over the operation of the school buses from the previous contractor Delco School Bus Company (a subsidiary of Gross Equipment Co). William Penn is I believe the only school district in Delco that does not operate their school buses in house. I also have the frequencies for Southeast Delco School District buses. They have 173.225 and 173.275 licensed to them for the school buses. The main channel appears to be 173.275 with a 365 DPL. 173.225, if in use, appears to be a secondary channel. I do not currently have the frequencies for the Southeast Delco School District Police (in the Delco Police CAD, they come up as District 66). Does anyone have the frequency for them?

I also have several public works frequencies for various towns. Upper Darby uses 453.625/458.625 in repeater mode with a 71.9 PL for all of the public works departments (Highways, Sanitation, etc). It is listed in the database. I have 45.56 with a 74.4 PL for Springfield Twp Public Works. Not sure if Ridley Township Public Works still uses this frequency but I have 39.42 for them. I have a few others as well but they're already in the database.

Anyone else have anything for Delco that I don't have and is not listed in the database? BTW I cannot find an FCC License for 481.4125 in this area so I'm not sure if that freq is being used illegally or if it a public domain.

Here's one that I haven't been able to figure out. When 71 cars, Newtown Twp. go to "red", what frequency do they switch to?

Also, although unrelated, I'm in the process of trying to confirm some of the hospital frequencies/tones.

Didn't Newtown used to have a lowband channel that they used? Their cars had lowband whips years ago...although it has probably been four years since I have seen a Newtown PD car, so maybe they got rid of the lowband.

Hey everyone,
A listener submitted the FC repeater PD usage, I'm too far away to monitor it.

The 481 channel is not licensed for sure.

As for the Newtown question, When I lived in Media (6 years ago) I believe they would use 39.68 for a switchover.

We'll get the updated made this weekend.

I caught someone on the 464.9375 DCS115 not sure if it was the PD or the FD they were talking about meeting at Yeadon HQ.

Yeadon PD uses the Yeadon Townwatch frequency for there switchover. I have to look in my log book for the freq and dcs.

I've heard the 481.4125 203.5 PL twice. Both times used by the PD.

Yeadon Townwatch / Yeadon Police Switch Up is 463.2125/468.2125 with a 506 DPL. It is a repeater but it's only listed at a 2 Watt output.

If the antenna is sufficiently high, a repeater with even just a 2W output should be more than enough to provide mobile and outdoor handheld coverage in tiny little Yeadon.

Here's one of those frequencies where it's licensed, you keep it in your scanner, but you never hear anything. Well anyway today I did. 453.925 PL 203.5 - Delcom was doing radio checks with radio repair for a good bit of the morning. There was no indication of intended use, but they did say they were testing from the "Data" console. At least now that we have the PL tone, we don't have to listen to the Philly Streets Dept. anymore (unless you want to, of course).

Maybe one of those frequencies could be for Haverford Twp. going on line with the county soon. I hear fire should be on Fire 4 or Fire 9 or may be patched in from their own freq for now, EMS on MED-B & Disp on F3. PD could go to Sector 2 or a new Sector 7 ???.????

Also Newtown Twp. put a new transport medic in service operated by the Twp. and RMH Medic 107-7 replacing Medic 53-7B at the Twp. Bldg. Not sure what the status of the MTAC Medic 53-7B is now OOS or second due in Marple.
