Virtual control 996P2 FOR FREE

I just got a 996P2
As I have posted elsewhere, I have figured out a remote head system using a Windows tablet. I prefer the Winbook tablets, which you can find on ebay and sometimes in Microcenter stores because they have a full size USB port.

The old 996T_USAD program, used to program and control the 996T, works with the 996P2.
It is not perfect: I have not found a way to scroll through menus, so not really useful for programming. However, it works perfectly to control volume, squelch, hold, scan, enable disable systems etc.

One big bugaboo, though - the UASD doesn't support rebanding, so if you need to program such a system, it's likely to not work correctly

FreeScan has its own virtual control and does support rebanding correctly, and as the name implies, it's free. It won't program DMR MOtOTRBO nor ProVoice, but it will handle others like Phase 2....
