• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

Good Moring,
I am having a heck of a time trying to get the Nuisance Delete feature to work on my VM5000. When I assign a button to Nuisance Delete in Armanda the option is filled in orange. In Armanda this indicates that this option is not available. I have checked the following already:
  1. Nuisance Delete is enabled in the conventional system(s).
  2. There is a scan list assigned to the zone.
  3. Each channel is a member of the desired scan list within the zone.
When a scan is enabled on the radio and I press the assigned button, the screen shows 'Unprogrammed'

I think I have checked every single menu and option, perhaps there is something i' missing?

I was hoping someone knowledgable would answer. The VM5k is NX5K hardware with Armada firmware. I do not know how much overlap exists but I have had "button" problems with NX version. From my aging memory some of it related to DTMF settings for the keypad. Some buttons did not seem to work and others did something entirely different than labeled in cps. Buttons can be used for ID's, direct channel, and more and can tangle up. Turn off DTMF on keypad. Again from memory, even if it is turned off it will still send dtmf from keypad if you do it while holding down PTT. None of this may apply to VM version of radio.

Fortunately I don't have the DTMF style keypad.

@GraniteScanner what version of Armada are you using and what firmware is in the VM5000?

Armda Version: 1.48.11
Radio Firmware: 8.20.5.42

I am also not using a template within Armada

Edit: I do see in error in the log. I would be absolutely baffled if the current firmware doesn't support this basic feature.
