Well said, EO. Nicely put.
Here it comes! Remember Slave Lake.
I thought this forum was about Voice scrambling/encryption not about flamming someone. Edmscan, is that or this sentence good enough for you? I hope my grammar and sentence structure is sufficient for your standards!
I just want to know what Slave Lake had to do voice scramble.
FIRE FIRE!! Slave Lake AB Evac! see this thread on the Prairies postings. Sorry, not a computer geek so don't know how to post the link to the thread. Other articles are on the internet about communication problems. I guess we will have to listen to Tow Truck operators to get information.
I think my explanation makes more sense.

I guess we can all read it together. With so many RR members up there working on communications you would think we would remember any voice scamble.
RCMP has their equipment and their Keys (Harris)You sure about that? If P25 is a standard and the standard addresses encryption, regardless how one keyloads, the devices will be able to communicate. Now if the actual keys are different, then of course the subscribers units will no be able to communicate. Others on rr.com seem to have no difficulty to get it work.
Yes. I am seeing more use of encryption on the RCMP's regular TGs every day now. Looks like the end of the year it will be over for open P25.Has anyone heard of the RCMP Battleford going with some kind of voice scrambling on the P25 network ?.
