Hi everybody:

I've been up in the Portland area doing some scanning (among other things). And on WCCCA, I keep hearing something called Squirt units. Like "Squirt 6." Anybody feel like answering a dumb question for an out-of-town person like me - what in the heck is a "Squirt" unit? Is that slang for something else? I hear 'em on the EMS/Fire dispatch and ops talk groups. TVF&R??

Thanks!

TVF&R has three: SQT56, SQT61 and SQT62 (Wilsonville, Beaverton, and Aloha, respectively). Cornelius has one (SQT8). The only other agency in the metro area that has one is Canby, which is also designated SQT62.
