By Martin's Corner Fire Company June 14, 2010 Just after 0500 hours this morning, a mobile home fire was alerted in the Spring Hill Section of West Caln Township. This brought Martin's Corner, Wagontown and the HoneyBrook for 1 Engine. Deputy 34(Lewis) went enroute just after the dispatch and was advised of a mobile home with fire through the roof and exposures to other mobile homes. Deputy 34 arrived minutes later and confirmed a working mobile home fire and established the "Spring Hill Lane" command. Engine 34-5 with Chief Metzler arrived 1st and stretched the front bumper line to the mobile home. Crews forced entry and began to extinguish the fire. Engine 34-1 arrived next and put a 2nd line in service and assisted with suppression. The mutual aid units threw ground ladders and assisted with ventilation. Once the fire was placed under control, Command held the units from 34 and returned the rest to service.
FM 102, 103 and FM 28A arrived and handled the investigation.
Belfor handled the boardup.
