Ran trunking discovery on the HP2 today. There was some activity but not a lot.
303- various tone alerts
114- several encrypted transmissions
105- several key ups with voices in the background.

Not much for a system that’s supposed to be operational soon. I guess I’ll start running it daily and see what I get.

I'm hearing the tone alerts on TG 105 this morning along with some random voices.

Receiving the West Orange p25 system in Sea Bright approximately 50 miles away full signal.

Control channel is on 853.6625 and voice testing is on 854.3375. The other frequencies are currently being used by the old EDACS system.

the reasonable approach to encryption is dispatch channels in the clear with tac channels fully encrypted.

Lots of new talkgroups popped up today. All in the clear, but the volume was so low it was hard to figure out what was being said.

Based on what I was hearing during the morning hours it kind of sounded like they were doing training on the use of the new radios.

I have not heard anything yet. The control channel is now on 854.3375. I was monitoring the EDACS system last night and I did not hear a peep out of them for over an hour (around 10pm) which is very unusual. I thought maybe there was work going on or even a cutover to the new system. But EDACS seems back to normal this morning.

Since the control channel changed I can no longer pick up the system in Sea Bright. Considerably weaker. I'll be doing some testing over the weekend from Livingston and let you know

They were doing that last week too. Nothing new, and no actual voice comms since last week.
