I was just looking around at some of Florida's police systems and found this interesting one in West Palm Beach. I just have to ask, to anyone out there familiar with this system, what in the world is "Off Duty Dispatch" used for? Why would off duty officers be dispatched or even carry radios? Also, what kind of security guards are allowed to use the Security Guard Details? Is that just for city contracts? Thanks. Gilligan

The actual template lists, the - Off Duty Dispatch - as Details.... This is for "off duty" details, usually in uniform for events, orginizations and special areas requesting or requiring such attention. overtime and events paid duty.

The Security guards is actually I-Watch which comprises security, commercial, taxi and other groups with a talkgroup to report suspicious activity or crimes, usaully but not limited to the malls, downtown etc.

The town of Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens also are on the system with talkgroups
