What ever happened to Regency Scanners?

Sadly, some of their factory techs did not properly align the radios.

It's probably more related to bad quality components and/or not fixated with glue and change their values when transported and are exposed to heat/cold/moisture. That never happens with equipment today with the use of surface mounted components.

I owned both the MS 200 and HS 200.
MS 200 - Thought it would be better than it was.. Alpha tags, PL / DPL. But it was prone to so much intermod, I couldn't get rid of it fast enuff.
HS 200 - Wish I never sold it..

I am in the same boat. There was one recently on eBay that never got bid. I'm half tempted to message the seller asking if they're going to relist it or if they would entertain an offer.

Unless of course you the officer getting the snot beat out of him and your radio wouldn't transmit because it was a "test" unit.

Basically the department got radios for raw cost and Regency got free field experience developing their products. Not a bad deal.
