Yes sir another agency suckered into cheaper radio. Now if they need help from an outside agency and they have their personal "we need our kingdom" radio system oh well. P25 is the APCO standard not Trbo or Nxdn. Cheaper? Better? neither of the two if someone gets hurt or there is a major property loss.First responders should have the right tools not the cheap tools.

Not capable of being monitored if they encrypt.

I agree, being on a mutual aid company in the next town over should be interesting to see what happens during an incident once they switch over... I've been told they are in fact dumping county dispatching in favor of going back to self dispatching by the police department.

151.430 & 158.850 would be the repeater outputs. The few LEO's that I know made the switch because they know it can't be heard on a normal scanner & all DMR radios have some form of encryption by default (I'm pretty sure they went with Moto, though!).

I guess because the high crime rate in Lavallette the reason they want no one to monitor them.
I dealt with Motorola Reps in work they talk fast. we told them up front one time where not interested
in Turbo or P25 I guess where on 155.250 forever, LOL.

I need to keep something off the air we use our cell phones saved the borough a lot of money.

Yes you are not interested. But why? We know that P25 works, it's an accepted standard throughout the country including our beloved state of NJ. The only reason people end up on Trbo or Nxdn is they are sold by the local radio shop who is not a full line dealer and cannot sell P25 Motorola or Harris systems. Yes, I know there are others such as TAIT that sell P25. P25 has a proven track record. Even many FFighters use it everyday. Ask Newark.

Lavallette will move over to a Turbo capacity plus system in a few weeks for all services, they kept their old freqs plus a new pair, and an additional simplex that they will page out FD and EMS, which will be conventional unencrypted. Once they sign on, the comms will be digital and encrypted. New fire ground beach patrol will be non digital non-encrypted. Pd will be encrypted always.

The new EMS Fire paging channel is 155.1375 and d223 (wkn565) will be up in a few weeks. Non encrypted, non digital.

Is Lavallette PD back on NFM?

The database changes today seem to suggest that PD is. Can't listen/confirm 'til Tuesday.

No they're still using the new system, the old analog frequency was unmarked as Deprecated in the update on the 20th,no need to have marked as that since they use it at times. Fire and EMS are still on the county system by the way.

Their radios are capable of operating in analog and MotoTRBO. They are using the new system 99% of the time now.

I have their old channel 2 as 154.1150 MHz with a PL of 94.8 Hz. Do you know if this is still in play at all?

I believe it was their old low band Fire-1 relay back in the day, but I don't remember entirely. I've had it programmed as that, but I'm not close enough to pick up most simplex stuff from there if they do use it.
