In general, anything I got rid of in the past that I regretted, I have replaced. However, I do have 3 radios I regret getting rid of that I have not been able to replace. When I left home and went in the military I sold off almost all my radio gear, I only kept (in storage, at my parents place) a couple of radios that I could not get rid of (ran out of time) before I left.

Among the radios I sold off were an absolutely perfect Hallicrafters SX-88 in its original box, a very lightly used Hallicrafters SX-73 / R-274D, and a Yaesu FRG-7000 I had just bought new.

Don't get me wrong, I have found all three of these for sale, sometimes quite often. But a really good condition SX-88 frankly sells for obscene money, the R-274D is most often beat up and still too expensive, and every FRG-7000 I have seen is in poor shape. In fact, I have two FRG-7000's setting on the shelf here, but neither are really in good enough cosmetic condition to put the effort into restoring them. And I have a basket case R274, but that I got as a potential parts radio.

And while the FRG-7000 is not really a phenomenal radio, that is not the point. I still miss it and want one. I have all the other FRGs sold in good condition, I want that one for two reasons, because I bought one new, and to complete the set.
