The answer is the same as it was last month, and the same as it will always be: the feeds are hosted by volunteers. If they decided to take them down (for any number of reasons), then they're gone, unless they happen to come back up. No one here has the answer, so there's really not much point in continuing to ask the same question repeatedly.

They did a server change recently. I host a feed and got an email saying that if the feed went down it had to be rebooted and some streaming methods required updating the server DNS address manually. I just rebooted mine. That could have something to do with what is going on.

I check everyday even less it seems
I'm thinking, there are so many people in N.Y.C. and the Tri-state area, won't somebody else want to host them? Reporters, Hobbyists, etc. etc.
The odd thing is that, even though NYPD is the largest deptartments in the US, every feed had 5-15 listeners. Always. Why?

At one point, weren't a bunch of the NYC feeds hosted by a RR/Broadcastify super-streaming custom appliance that was sent to NYC?
(or am I mixing that idea up with something else...this was several+ years ago I think)
