I still kick myself in the ass for selling my white one with burgundy upholstery interiorThat paint scheme reminds me of the 80s Monte Carlo SS..one of the best looking cars ever made IMO
Grand National was way fast, but I've always preferred the SS bodysyleOff-topic, but I’ll take a Grand National over the Monte Carlo any day.

I've always loved the silver ones with black striping. Black with gold striping and interior too. Rare combosI still kick myself in the ass for selling my white one with burgundy upholstery interior

Wow !!! Nice !
But how does that compare from the boxes from the guy
Down Under ??!!?
Wonder if someone can make a scanner with a 3-D printer ?
InterestingI know some people have designed replacement parts, like the battery door clip on the SDS100, knobs and stuff, so I suppose a whole case is possible. It would be a rare need, but if someone damaged their case I suppose that would be a nice thing to have available.
I know one guy who made a couple of really cool cases (not scanner related) with his 3D printer and then did a laborious sanding and polishing routine on the parts. In the end they looked like they were made in a factory. So I'd say yes, at least a reproduction case is possible.
Glad you like it. That was one of my first designs. I made a bunch on my Thingiverse page. This was my best :I found a neat holder for the SDS100 << HERE >> at Thingiverse, so I decided to print it up.

You can get a printer for a couple hundred dollars to thousands. In this range a lot has to do with accuracy, time, and how much time you will be "fine tuning" things. The material doesn't cost much. Printing can take a couple hours to days depending on the printer and what you are printing.I'm curious how fast is 3D printing and is it costly?
It's not the fastest to be sure, but the filament is fairly affordable. I purchased an assembled Prusa i3 MK3S+ (considered one of the best) because I didn't want to mess with the assembly or deal with any issues, so I was up and running 15 minutes out-of-the-box. If you want specific details, feel free to ask.I'm curious how fast is 3D printing and is it costly?
