On top of listening to the Woodbridge township channels, i listen to Clark)in Union county), i not only work there but im on the border and theres only one way in to that part of clark.

HA! Here it comes, a BOLO about a home invasion in which was stolen a pit bull and a cell phone, nothing else mentioned. A PIT BULL? Only in Asbury Park I suppose, there Bangs Avenue is appropriately named. Well THAT takes bolas! (;->)

Reminded me of a call last summer, where West Chester (Pa) PD had a home invasion with one shot fire (nobody hit); taken was a chiuaua (sp?) and nothing else. I think they caught the actors a few days later...

Originally from Irvington, NJ...moved to Staten Island NY then Cliffside Park NJ then Bergenfield NJ in 1976.
Moved out to Newington, CT in 1995 and moved back to Bogota, NJ in 2000.
Finally ended up in Old Bridge Twp (Middlesex Cty) in 2004...

My late father got me started in Amateur Radio and I've moved up from Novice to General!
Started at Novice as KB2HNT, went to Technician as N2JSH and General Class as K2LSX.
I took over his callsign, which he had since 1956, when he passed away in 1996.

I'm originally from PA-moved to Passaic County, NJ in 1973 when I was 9 years old. Became a scanner buff in 1982 when I received my first scanner. Went to broadcasting school to follow in my dad's footsteps (he was a DJ back in PA). Became a volunteer firefighter for Wanaque FD in 1987. I started dispatching for both Wanaque (where I live) and Wayne PD's in 1990. 16 years later dispatching still hasn't become a job, I'm still working for both agencies, and I absolutely love it! ;)

On the monitoring side of my radio shack I have 2 BC-780's, 2 BC-895's, 1 BC-890, and 2 handheld scanners. I basically listen to everything north of I-80, FDNY, and southern NY state. On the transmitting side of the shack I have 2 Yaesu FT-7800 transceivers and a Yaesu FT-60 handheld transceiver. My vehicle has a Kenwood TM-V708A dual transceiver that allows me to TX/RX my local ham repeaters on one side of the radio and monitor the local public safety frequenices on the other side of the radio.

By the way....did I mention I love radio? :D

BJSCHIEF4900,

Any chance of you posting the list frequencies used by the FDs and EMS squads on the Island? Frequencies, PL/DPL, what they're called, or used for, and Islandwide designators, 1,2,3 etc.? I've seen different information posted from time to time, and, not doubting the validity of what anyone else has posted, I would just like to have the information confirmed if possible. Anything you could do would be appreciated.
