Which forum should I use?

Prior to posting my question, I wanted to make sure that I posted it in the correct forum. Now that Charles County, MD, has dropped it's patch, I have to make the decision that I have been watching everyone else make for quite a while. Radio Shack PRO 96, or Uniden BC396T. I would like to ask some questions and obtain some feedback, but the question(s) are Maryland related. However, some of the questions are also scanner model related/specific. Maybe I could find someone in my area that can offer some tips and a pointer or two that can aid me in making my final decision, as they are not inexpensive radios. I should add that I am not a "newbie," but from the reading I have been doing, it all seems very technical. Also, I know there is a "96 vs.396" thread somewhere on this site, but I cannot locate it. Could you point me in the right direction?

i agree with the link he gave you. I believe if your major decisions will come from facts regarding where you live, I think you can post there. the fact of the type of systems, users, etc. that are in your area can influence a scanner-buyers decision majorly. I think you are safe posting in Maryland.
